South Hills Retreat Center Wedding

The South Hills is Derek and Caitlin’s favorite place! Not only did they get married in the South Hills, they Derek also proposed up in the South Hills! Is that not the sweetest?!

At the beginning of September, close family and friends gathered in the trees of the South Hills to witness Caitlin and Derek say I do. They had a family friend officiate their ceremony and he did a great job! Their day consisted of all their favorite things, s’mores, cigars for Derek, and dancing for Caitlin!

Caitlin had family friends do her hair and makeup, and she put together all the flowers with Ling’s Moments. Her dress was from Remi Bleu and it fit her perfectly! 

We also snuck away to the top of Pike Mountain and took bridals. We started off by popping some champagne. It couldn’t be more beautiful, with a stunning overview of the South Hills. To be able to get the beautiful trees and the overlook of the entire valley is breathtaking.

Taking 20 mins out of your wedding day during golden hour to take portraits is such a special part of your day. It gives you two the ability to spend intentional time together, creating beautiful portraits.

Being able to get married in the South Hills is such an amazing experience. At the South Hills Retreat Center, not only can you have your ceremony and reception, you’re also able to use their cabins and stay overnight with your guests! It’s such a unique experience.
