Emily and Dylan’s engagement session was one of my absolute favorites! I don’t know about you but I am not much of a morning person. This was to date only the 3rd sunrise session I have ever done and the first 2 were at a workshop(which don’t count). We got up bright and early to get to the St. Anthony Sand Dunes. Which are freaking stunning at sunrise. The sun rose over the hills of sand beautifully making magical cotton candy skies. My favorite part about the St. Anthony Sand Dunes is that Egin Lake is right next to it. You can have 2 completely different locations all in 1 which is the best! 

My 3 tips for engagement sessions include

1. Bring a second outfit! It is so fun to have both you and your lover change. Most couples do a casual option and a more formal option, but it is completely up to you! It changes the whole vibe of the session which makes for beautiful pictures. It also changes a lot of posing. For casual outfits, I’ll have poses with more movement, like you on your fiance’s shoulders, or running and bumping hips. For more formal outfits, I’ll have more sweet and intimate poses. Like twirling your dress and closeup of snuggly moments.
2. Plan to have fun! Your engagements should be fun and more like a date. We have so much fun with all of our couples running around various locations. 
3. Let your photographer know if there are any specific poses you want ahead of time! It helps them plan to take all of the pictures you are wanting along with all of the ones they would normally get! It changes up your pictures and capturing the pictures you want helps make sure you love them! 

Emily and Dylan were so chill to run around with me in the freezing sand and even get in the water! It was definitely cold but 1000% worth it! Their engagements are some of my favorite to date!
