It’s your wedding day. The day you have dreamt about since you were a little girl or boy and you can’t believe it’s so close. Sometimes it’s overwhelming to plan the wedding that you want especially in this day of COVID-19. But that doesn’t have to stop you from having the wedding that you’ve always dreamed of. Picking a few parts of your wedding day and making them your own is one of the best things that you can do.

Because of COVID-19, Derrick and I’s wedding plans were changed time after time. Our day ended up splitting being split up between three different days over the course of six months, which felt overwhelming and scary and like I had no part of the planning process. The thing that made the biggest difference for us was that we had the three things that matter most to us and we made that happen. I had the dress I loved, the bridal pictures that I had dreamed of, and we made sure to make the day about Derrick and I. Our wedding day was nothing like we imagined it would be, but now looking back we wouldn’t change a thing.
